If you think that the expression…”a mother lifting a car off her child” is just a figure of speech, it is a very real thing.
Florida, 1982…Angela Cavallo’s son Tony became trapped under a 1964 Chevy Impala after the jack gave way. Angela found strength from the love she had for her son and lifted the car until their neighbours could put back the Jack and pull Tony to safety.
Canadian wilderness, 2006…Lydia Angiyou put herself between a fierce polar bear and her children, fighting the beast off until a local hunter intervened. Her act earned her Canada's Governor General's Medal of Bravery
