The star that can’t be…

The oldest star in the universe—the Methuselah Star—is believed to be 14.5 billion years old. But if the universe is 13.8 billion years old, how can that be? How can a star that lives in the universe be older than that universe?

That mystery is leading scientists to exploring new ways of understanding the universe.
