Day 209

Day 209

Is our Universe a hologram?

In 1997, physicist Juan Maldacena proposed the controversial theory that the universe is a hologram. He believed that gravity in the universe is caused by a series of thin vibrating strings which are holograms of events that occur in a flatter Cosmos.

Now a team of Japanese physicists at the University Ibaraki, have mathematical evidence that confirm what is now known as string theory which suggests that certain types of universes might actually be holograms of real two-dimensional universes.

This means that what we see and do here might actually be occurring elsewhere and we are merely experiencing its holographic representation.
