This “Lavender Lady” wisteria vine in Sierra Madre, California holds a place in the Guiness Book of World Records as the world’s largest blossoming plant.
The seeds originally came from China, and was planted in 1894 by a couple who just bought their house. It is on private property but once a year, the garden opens to the public for 1 day and the whole town gathers to see the blossoming of a million purple flowers in their annual Wistaria Festival.
