Global consciousness project
A group of over 100 scientists, including physicists, psychologists, artists, and others from around the world have joined together to study how human consciousness affects the physical world on a global scale.
Using random number generators they look at events such as the celebration of New Years, the September 11 2001 terrorist attacks, the great earthquakes in Turkey and Haiti, the Asian and Japanese Tsunamis, and large-scale meditation and religious events like the Kumbh Mela in India. They record details of the cases they analyze and they offer free public access to their database.
The results showed significant evidence that something remarkable happens when humans share a common experience.
