Sisu and the purple unicorn
A stray pup snuck into the Kenansville Dollar General every time the automatic doors open to see his beloved stuffed purple unicorn. The concerned staff called animal rescue, and when control officer Samantha Lane came to pick him up, she bought the $10 plush toy for him—and it has not left his side.
The staff at the shelter named him Sisu after the dragon in Disney's film, Raya and the Last Dragon. Both Sisu and the purple unicorn have been adopted and live happily ever after.
